President Salva Kiir Mayardit was seen off at Juba International Airport by senior government and military officials as he departed for South Africa.

Among those present was Vice President James Wani Igga, who also serves as deputy chairman of the ruling Sudan People’s Liberation Movement.

Officials say Kiir will hold discussions with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation.
